We raised $80,000 in support of these projects.

Project Summary:

1. We will continue the work in Costa Rica and expand it to Mexico.  This project will:

  • Plant over 1400 acres of mangrove forest.
  • Protect over 13,000 acres of mangrove forest.
  • Sequester 3.6MM tons of carbon.
  • Protect critical habitat nurseries for a tremendous amount of biodiversity.
  • Provide jobs for indigenous women in those areas.

 

2. Second project will be to protect 750,000 acres of rainforest in Guyana.

  • Containing 60MM tons of carbon and tremendous biodiversity.
  • Guyana is one of the greenest counties in the world.
  • 85% of is covered in rainforest, of which roughly 20% is occupied by indigenous tribes.
  • We will be helping these tribes protect this rainforest:
    • Helping them secure their livelihoods by transitioning to a market-based economy thought methods which protect the rainforest.
